Meet Arlington’s Board

Arlington at Park West HOA Board members are each elected by the community for a staggered three-year term. Elections are held at the annual homeowner’s meeting in October. The Board is responsible for managing the maintenance, financial, and operating functions of Arlington, working to bring community members together through social events, and helping homeowners understand the rules and regulations that govern our community.

Your Board of Directors includes the following volunteers from within the Arlington community:

Joel H. Head, President, is a former Partner with Ernst & Young LLP where he counseled senior executives engaged in process and organization change for their respective companies. Later, he became a Principal with William M. Mercer where he led an organization change and employee communication practice.

In the fifteen years prior to his retirement, he managed his own executive coaching and consulting practice. Joel and his wife Kitty moved to Mount Pleasant in 2015. He can be contacted at [email protected]

Carol Hallman, Secretary, is active locally in choral music, singing in two Mount Pleasant community choirs: Seaside Singers and Charleston Masterworks Choir. Carol moved from Cincinnati to Mount Pleasant in 1999 to be near extended family. She is a retired K-12 public educator, having served as aa high school social studies teacher, elementary school principal, and a K-12 Curriculum Coordinator. Michael Janaskie, Treasurer, is a Principal with Novus Architects where he specializes in church architecture. He was born and raised in New Jersey and traveled south to attend and graduate, twice, from Clemson University.

Maggie Lovein, Director, is a Certified Professional Medical Coder in the Orthopedic Department of Roper St. Francis Hospital. She and her husband Dave moved to Mount Pleasant in 2011 from Greenville, NC., where she served in a similar position with the Greenville Hospital System. An active member of the Board since 2016, Maggie is the Chairperson of “All Things Fun” and organizes Arlington’s social activities like movie night, the Halloween parade, and the annual fishing tournament. Ray Lemay, Director, is also Chair of the Architectural Review Committee (ARC). He is a former Business Partner and Vice President for a high tech non-conventional manufacturing company in Connecticut where he worked for 35 years.

He and his wife Madonna, purchased a home here in Arlington in 2012 anticipating the great day of retirement in 2014. He is an active golfer, fisherman, and hunter. They have two children and two grandchildren. Ray can be reached at [email protected].
